Terelu's harsh confession about the last days of María Teresa Campos: "I have prayed many times for my mother to leave"

The communicator María Teresa Campos died on September 5 at the Jiménez Díaz Foundation Hospital after several days admitted for acute respiratory failure. Although the doctors tried to reverse the situation and for the Andalusian to improve, her body could not stand it and she died, leaving a family broken with pain and a country in shock.

During the last few months, the mother of Terelu Campos and Carmen Borrego had suffered a more than noticeable cognitive deterioration, as her daughters had anticipated in some interviews and television interventions. ''Unfortunately, right now, she is no longer what she was (...) She cannot decide for herself,'' Alejandra Rubio's mother explained last May.

This morning, the magazine dedicated to the gossip press Lecturas has published an exclusive article by Terelu Campos in which she lets off steam and appears more vulnerable than ever. ''This is the most difficult article of my life. Talking about my mother and her loss is the biggest heartbreak, "the collaborator of the pink medium began by saying while she made it clear that it is her job and that her mother would have wanted it that way.

''My mother has suffered, for almost eleven months, the greatest horror of the life of any human being. Her brain devoured her and her body consumed her,' Campos explains in the magazine's blog.

In the text, Carmen Borrego's sister acknowledges that she will greatly miss the legendary presenter, who has been a mother and father for them, but also a guide in their work life and television career.

Furthermore, Terelu opens up and harshly acknowledges in the article that she "has prayed many times for (María Teresa) to leave," since she was tired of seeing her suffer and, deep in her heart, she knew which was the best for her.

''I am very proud and grateful for the tributes and comments that have been made these days...'', Rocío Carrasco's friend explains in the letter after seeing how Spanish society felt the loss of the Malaga journalist as if it were the death of a family member.

The death of María Teresa Campos has left millions of fans across the country 'orphaned', as we are facing the loss of one of the most important journalists in the history of Spain, who paved the way for many others who came later.
