Carmen Cervera, Baroness Thyssen, has given an interesting interview to Miquel Valls for Más Espejo, Espejo Público’s social chronicle space that has not left anyone indifferent. With the excuse of showing one of her impressive properties in Andorra, the Baroness sits down to talk about all kinds of topics in an unpublished interview.

Among other things, Tita Cervera confesses that she was unfaithful to one of her partners, but also that she has a close relationship with such well-known men as King Juan Carlos or Julio Iglesias, whom she has known for years.

Baroness Thyssen rarely talks about her personal life, being one of the most unknown characters on the social scene. However, she talks about romantic relationships openly in this interview, where she even admits that she was unfaithful on one occasion.

“We are human and we make mistakes,” she excuses herself, acknowledging that she could forgive infidelity, because for her the relationship established with that person was more important than the simple slip. “You can’t break a history of years. It’s a matter of pride, not ego.” Luckily, she was forgiven for her disloyalty.

The aristocrat does not have her heart occupied at this moment, as she appreciates her freedom and cannot imagine right now sharing her life with anyone other than her daughters. Despite the rumors about her, she has been enjoying being single for quite some time.

“I can’t imagine myself falling in love again. I’ve experienced a lot of love with people I’ve loved very much and I can’t imagine it. Furthermore, I’ve gotten used to freedom. It’s wonderful,” she says. The best thing, being surrounded by friends.

Baroness Thyssen is more than proud of her friendships. Regarding the emeritus king, whom she has always known, she is clear about one thing: she trusts that he will return to Spain and be able to live “where he deserves.” She also really likes King Felipe VI, whom she has known since he was little.

But if someone marked his life it was another of his great friends: Julio Iglesias. Baroness Thyssen and the most international Spanish artist could have been husband and wife, but they ended up being friends. A relationship that continues to this day. “The other day I spoke to him on the phone. He told me that we should have gotten married. He is a man who always makes you feel like a woman,” revealed the aristocrat.

However, it could not be. “He told me, you and I are not flirting because we each already have complicated lives.” In return, a great friendship has endured for decades. She is one of the few people who knows about her condition, just after turning 80. “She is feeling very well.”
