Sophie Turner reveals the letter from Joe Jonas that could change the course of her divorce

The war between Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas intensifies after putting an end to their marriage. And the Game of Thrones actress has played a new trick: a letter written by Jonas in which he makes it clear that he had a clear intention of moving the family unit to the United Kingdom from the United States, something that he no longer wants to do after it was confirmed the rupture.

The new documents, obtained by Page Six, include a letter written by Jonas in order to persuade a landlord in Wallingford, Oxford, to sell them a property they both considered their "forever home."

Joe Jonas, a member of the Jonas Brothers band, expressed in writing his infatuation with a property worth £7.5 million in Wallingford, Oxford. In the letter dated June 16, the singer detailed how both he and his wife were looking for a house that would meet his daughter's "three unwavering requirements": having chickens, a pony and a Wendy's house. Jonas wrote: "As soon as we turned the corner and saw the beautiful blue shutters, we experienced a feeling of magic like no other."

Jonas described his vision of life on the property with impressive detail. He commented that he had even spoken to Turner's father about the house, noting that he was "appropriately impressed" with the property's orchard. Jonas also fantasized about taking his daughters to school by boat and spending afternoons sailing with friends.

The context of this letter is particularly significant, given that Jonas filed for divorce on September 5, just two months after putting down a 10% deposit - around £750,000 - on the house. Although it was agreed to finalize the sale of the property on December 2, a source has confirmed to Page Six that the transaction "never closed." However, the couple did leave their residence in Miami in March 2023.

Turner, for her part, has used this letter to take legal action to have her children transferred back to the UK. According to her, the property purchase had been in the planning for months and they had agreed to move to England at the end of 2022. They left her home in Miami in March.

The disclosure of the letter has added a new level of complexity to the already complicated situation. Although reports suggest that this document may not be enough to move the dispute from US soil to the UK, it highlights the seriousness with which the move to England was being considered before the couple's split.

It should be remembered that, according to reports from TMZ and Daily Mail, a court hearing will decide on October 3 whether the couple's children can be transferred outside the United States. In the midst of these circumstances, the letter becomes a silent but powerful witness of what once were the intentions and dreams of a joint home.
