Shakira does not stop her attacks on Piqué this time in an interview: "I have been killing rats for a year of my life"

More than a year has passed since Shakira and Gerard Piqué announced their separation, but their relationship, or rather all the problems that occurred in the last stage of their courtship, continue to cause a lot of media stir to this day. The ex-Blaugrana's infidelity with Clara Chía was the trigger for the media war that both have waged in recent months and where darts through songs have become the most normal thing in the world.

Two days ago, the artist launched a new song on the market called The Boss, where she tries to give visibility to the labor inequality that many people in Latin America experience. But not satisfied with that alone, the woman from Barranquilla also wanted to throw the odd hint at her ex-partner with the presence of Lili Melgal, the nanny of her children and the person who supposedly uncovered her infidelity.

In addition, this Friday a new interview with the Colombian singer was published in Billboard, where she opened up about everything that happened in recent months. In it, the artist assures that when she was with Piqué her career took a backseat, but now her main objective is the happiness of her children. ''My priority was my home, my family. He believed in 'till death do us part'. I believed that dream, and I had that dream for myself and my children," she confessed.

Regarding her powerful song with Bizarrap, which unleashed all kinds of opinions, Shakira confessed that people from her team advised her to change certain phrases of the song, but she refused. ''I am an artist and I have every right to develop my emotions. It is my catharsis, it is my therapy, but I also know that it is the therapy of many people; "I am a voice for many people," said the woman from Barranquilla.

Regarding her relationship with Piqué, the singer revealed that she had to take the good part of such a painful breakup. For this reason, she has wanted to capture everything in her songs, which have become a complete success. Although she confirms that her separation was ''the darkest part of her life'' and that she had been "surrounded by rats", so for the last year she has had to be "cleaning the house and exterminating the rats", although she still assures that some still remain around him.

This last year, Shakira's life has been a complete cocktail of emotions, which is why the artist declared that "happiness is a luxury that not everyone has access to." ''Right now there are moments of joy, moments of distraction, moments of reflection. There are still moments of sadness, of nostalgia,' she said.

Little by little he is getting out of the hole, but he confessed that "when a family is destroyed, there is nothing that can compensate for that pain." And Shakira's greatest dream was to raise her children with her father, start a family and thus overcome all the problems together. Something that knows that "I'm not going to have it anymore."
