Scissoring to 'La Promesa': this is how the series is broadcast after the changes on TVE

Sad day for fans of The Promise, the Spanish period series that Televisión Española broadcasts daily. While this week they have been able to enjoy double episodes every afternoon, the network's new guidelines suggest a change of plans.

Starting September 28, the unique broadcasts of this successful soap opera will return, which is already in its second season and has managed to win the hearts of the audience for more than 190 episodes. Revenge and love keep viewers hooked, who have been left somewhat distraught after the news.

Despite having surpassed its competitor, Telecinco's TardeAR program, and having achieved very high figures in screen share, The Promise receives a snip to make way for other content on the grid. Until that day, however, scheduling will be a bit irregular.

As reported by TVE, on Monday the 25th and Wednesday the 27th of September there will be a double portion of The Promise, but on Tuesday the 26th the series will not be broadcast in any case. The broadcast of the investiture debate of the PP candidate, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, is scheduled for that day.

It should be noted that on the 27th two other contents will be released: on the one hand, La plaza, where Jordi González presents a talk show that will be dedicated to analyzing current events; and, on the other, La Moderna Tea Room. This latest series, which is set in 1930s Madrid, will tell the story of a group of working women in one of the most prestigious tea rooms in the city.

In summary, with all these changes, TVE's afternoon schedule starting September 28 looks like this: each afternoon an episode of La Promesa and an episode of Salón de Tea La Moderna will be broadcast (schedules are to be confirmed), followed by The Square, The Hunter and, finally, Here the Earth.
