Sara Carbonero's profound message five years after suffering from cancer

Five years after facing her battle against cancer, Sara Carbonero has shared an emotional message on her Instagram profile, remembering the day when her life took an unexpected turn. “If we get out of this, the best advice I can give you is to run for your dreams, you already saw that life changes from one day to the next. And be happy,” she Carbonero posted, recalling the moment she was diagnosed with a malignant ovarian tumor in May 2019.

The journalist has highlighted the importance of normalizing the adversities we face in life. “Things have to be normalized, they happen to many more people than we think, but we think it's not your turn,” said Sara Carbonero when speaking for the first time about her illness. Additionally, she highlighted the lesson she learned during her fight against cancer: “You have to learn to live with what you have, without fear, and I have learned that we are all stronger than we think.”

Despite facing moments of concern, such as his admission to the Clínica Universitaria de Navarra in Madrid in 2021, Carbonero has shown admirable strength. A year later, in a social media post he shared the scars on his abdomen and reflected on the beauty of imperfection and the strength of his body as a reminder of the path he has traveled.

At her recent birthday party, Sara Carbonero also expressed her gratitude to all the people who have supported her throughout her journey, remembering how her fight against cancer has marked her journey towards happiness. “Thank you very much to each and every one of the people who are here, you have all collaborated in getting me this far,” said the journalist, moving her followers with her message of gratitude and improvement.
