Tonight the 2023 TikTok Awards were held, rewarding the platform's content creators in Spain. A celebration that rewards creativity, diversity and authenticity of audiovisual content in various categories.
Throughout the night they have been rewarding personalities and brands present on TikTok. In rather brief speeches, as indicated at the beginning of the gala, each winner thanked their followers and teams for their help in winning each award.
In particular, Rubén Avilés' speech has drawn attention, as he began his speech by encouraging users to follow their dreams, something that he acknowledged has not been so easy for him. “I have been that person who has been laughed at all my life.”
Furthermore, he took the opportunity to especially thank “the women in my life” and, through tears, confessed that “life has made it very easy for me to get out of the way and without them I would not be here.”
He took advantage of his speech to end up encouraging users to be honest and “be whoever you want to be, you are going to get what you want.” And he has especially thanked his loved ones, but especially his representative “who has changed my life” for his “unconditional support.”
