Rodolfo Sancho returns to television as the bad guy from 'Zorro'

Rodolfo Sancho will return to the small screen after one of the most complicated years of his life. The actor has lived through a very complex period in recent months, marked by the murder of Edwin Arrieta at the hands of his son, Daniel Sancho, in Thailand.

However, the controversy has not paused his professional life. As sources point out, the interpreter will play the enemy of Zorro in the Amazon Prime series that can be seen openly on Spanish Television.

This classic character created by Johnston McCulley in 1919 returns to the screens after being played by stars such as Antonio Banderas and Christian Meier in the past. In this new television project, Miguel Bernardeau (Elite) will be the one who plays the mythical masked vigilante.

The new version of Zorro created by Carlos Portela will be produced by Secuoya Studios, and will feature in its cast performers such as Renata Notni, Dalia Xiuhcoatl, Paco Tous, Emiliano Zurita, Joel Bosqued, Elia Galera and Fele Martínez.

The latest from Amazon Prime will be Rodolfo Sancho's first release after the controversial crime at the hands of his son Daniel. The actor will play the governor, a villain that the protagonist, Don Diego de la Vega (played by Bernardeau), will face.

The objective of this new television project is to conquer new generations, who may not be familiar with this classic hero. With a view to gaining an audience, the series will have a more modern and closer touch, premiering in the first half of 2024.
