Rocío Carrasco's announcement about her new judicial step against Antonio David Flores

On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Días de tele program, presented by Julia Otero on TVE, made a special on the subject this Wednesday under the title The day women raised their voices. For this, he had the presence on the set of Leticia Dolera, Jedet and Rocío Carrasco. But it was the latter who captured the most attention from viewers.

In fact, the daughter of Rocío Jurado once again explained before the cameras, as she already did in the documentary broadcast by Telecinco, having been a victim of gender violence at the hands of her ex-husband, Antonio David Flores. In addition, Carrasco announced a new judicial step in this regard.

Rocío Carrasco sat on Días de tele this Wednesday under threats of a boycott on social networks of the broadcast of the program, since her testimony on gender violence is not supported by a condemnatory judicial sentence against Antonio David Flores. However, the fact that justice did not find sufficient evidence to impute it does not mean that it has not been committed. Hence the commotion formed in the last hours.

However, the daughter of La Más Grande reappeared on television to raise her voice: she talked about why she took the step and also made it clear that she did it for her, “because she needed it. And if that has contributed in the slightest to society advancing in some way, I am satisfied”. It should be noted that the impact of her testimony on the victims of this social scourge was such that calls to 016 grew by 61% after telling her story.

The announcement of the new legal measures against Antonio David Flores came while Julia Otero was commenting at the table how justice acts ex officio in a case of gender violence, "if there are clear indications and evidence." If so, there is no need to file a lawsuit against that abuser.

And here, Rocío Carrasco added: "That's why, with my song, I said: 'My God. I am denouncing something that people have trouble proving because it happens in the private sphere, where they make sure that nobody is there most of the time. But in my case, an entire country has been a witness for X years. What else did I have to contribute to justice for someone ex officio…?

Then, Julia Otero, listening to her, was interested in the judicial situation of her case. “Because, now, judicially, at what point are you? Is there something pending? Has anything been reopened? Has it been closed?”, the presenter asked him.

"No, nothing has been reopened," replied Rocío Carrasco. And then she dropped the bombshell: the announcement of new legal measures against Antonio David Flores. “We are studying the reopening. It is being studied ”, she confirmed with the most seriousness. "We wish you the best of luck, Rocío," Otero replied.

To finish, the journalist gave her “thanks on behalf of all the women who, by taking a step forward, decided to change their lives. I don't know how many would succeed, but of course the movement that took place in 016 is very evident”.

To which Carrasco made it clear that: “I have to thank those women, all the women, many men, and my team that has done everything possible to make this happen as well. And to everyone who has always been with me. I thank you."
