Ricardo Gómez and Belén Cuesta are two actors with an extensive professional career. They have worked together on several occasions, and they have done so again in Romancero. Although their characters have not always been friends, the truth is that their friendship goes beyond the screen, as Pablo Motos was told tonight in El Hormiguero.
The two actors met in the theater and since then have collaborated several times, both on stage and in the world of cinema. Such is their friendship that Gómez has confessed that “I can never get angry with Belén.”
In fact, they have experienced many very colorful things together, like getting kicked out of bingo. Laughing, Gómez and Cuesta said that one day they went with the theater company to play bingo and the game ended quickly. “We were buying a lot of cartons and they kicked us out.”
Ricardo Gómez explained that “there couldn't be as much fury when it came to crossing out the numbers” as they apparently were having. At one point, in the frenzy of crossing off numbers, Gómez did not want to leave, even though he had been invited to do so. “I have paid for it and I play it.”
The actor has acknowledged that he defended his “right to play.” Belén Cuesta has confessed the shame that he experienced at that moment. “Ricardo, please, I'll give you the €2, but let's go.” Still, he wanted to continue playing, but the situation was resolved quickly. “In the end they gave me €2 and we left.”
