The Sevillian singer JC Reyes sowed controversy on Tuesday afternoon after creating and posting on his social networks several photographs in which the singer Rosalía appeared, supposedly, with her torso uncovered. Some photographs that the artist showed to his more than 260,000 followers, claiming to have had intimate conversations with the Catalan and hinting that there was something between them.
Some deplorable acts for which he did not show any kind of regret, but which made Rosalía herself react, who made it clear that what the rapper had done was "a type of violence." Hundreds of thousands of users joined his complaint in just minutes, condemning the Sevillian for his actor. Among them, Rauw Alejandro, the Catalan's partner, who has shown his full support for his fiancée.
"A woman's body is not public property, it is not merchandise for your marketing strategy," Rosalía told the Sevillian, in a forceful message on Twitter, "Those photos were edited and you created a false narrative around when I don't even know you ".
The Puerto Rican, totally in agreement with his partner's words, only limited himself to adding that she had all the love in the world, and she did not need to resort to such despicable acts to attract attention.
"You don't have to look down, we fill stadiums and we have the love of the people," his partner reminded him, after assuring him that he had the love and support of Spain, Puerto Rico and the entire world. "We have what we have for working hard and for making music, no drama. They will always find a way, but sooner or later the dramatic have to live only from that," she ended.
A few words that the interpreter of Todo de ti wrote as soon as his partner shared his second message for the Sevillian, in which he also reminded him of the concept of consent. "There is something called consent and to all of you who found it funny or plausible, I sincerely hope that one day you learn that you come from a woman, that women are sacred and that we have to be respected, bye", the Catalan sentenced.
A reaction to which the Minister for Equality, Irene Montero, also responded with a brief but forceful phrase: "Say it, queen."
Rauw Alejandro's response and his "leave it there" suggests that both want to put the issue on hold and not give more importance to the Sevillian singer, who since the controversy began has done nothing more than mock the issue and echo the attention that he had called for all this in just a few hours, not showing regret at all.
At the moment, it is not known if the artist is going to take some type of legal measure against the Sevillian rapper, but publishing photos without consent in Spain can constitute a crime, when the published photo or photos violate the right to honor, to personal and family privacy and a person's own image; so he would have every right to side with her if he decided to proceed.
What is certain is that his words have penetrated deeply among his followers, who have not stopped showing their support since the controversy began.
