Raquel Sánchez Silva reveals her worst moment in 'Survivors': "I was live for four hours blindly"

Since the start of the season last September, El Conquistador became one of the big bets of the current television year. The extreme adventure format of the Basque autonomous community ETB made the leap to all of Spain thanks to RTVE and with Raquel Sánchez Silva at the helm.

The Cáceres-born communicator has extensive experience presenting survival programs. However, she is adamant about a hypothetical participation in the same format that she now heads. "It seems like the hardest thing I've ever seen," she says in a video broadcast by the public entity on her social networks.

One of the programs in which she has served as presenter has been Supervivientes, where she made connections from Honduras in 2011 and 2014 for Telecinco. There, although she did not have to face the challenges that were proposed to the contestants, she did experience one of her greatest professional incidents.

"One day on a television program, very far from Spain, the signal suddenly went down and there was no return," he said, without revealing the name of the program or the network that broadcast it. "I was live for four hours completely blind. I have to say that every time I have felt a 'Earth, swallow me' it has been, I think, one of the best moments of my life on television," he said, adding that there he "realized that making mistakes is not so important.

In addition to Survivientes and El Conquistador, Raquel Sánchez Silva has also presented other similar formats such as Lost in the Tribe, Impossible Expedition and Pekín Express. Of the latter she did two seasons: the one corresponding to the Himalayas, with which she crossed China, Hong Kong, Nepal and India; and The Dragon Route through Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Indonesia.

But aside from the professional, the presenter has also confessed to being a very homely person and told what her favorite foods are: lentils ("I would always eat them", she stated in the same video) or cheesecake. She also assured that the most important thing in her life is being with her children.
