Sad day for Mexico. Rapper Lefty SM, one of the country's most well-known and acclaimed rap artists, passed away a few hours ago after armed men broke into his home to rob him.
The events occurred at the home of the artist and his family, located in a Zapopan residential area called La Cima, in the western Mexican state of Jalisco. According to the first versions of the events, three armed men tried to rob the rapper's house. In an attempt to defend his wife and daughters from the assailants, he was shot at least three times between the back and the head, an action that cost him his life.
The rapper's wife also suffered a gunshot wound, but managed to get into the car with Lefty SM, who finally died at the Royal Hospital in San José while the medics tried to save his life.

The security guards of the residence have assured the authorities that the criminals managed to escape surveillance and thus reach the singer's house. After they knocked on the door, the rapper opened it and realized that it was an assault, so he tried to resist. Due to the fight he was shot.
One of the guards present, who narrated the version of events to the police officers, explained that the suspects managed to escape from the scene of the crime aboard a white sedan car.
Lefty SM has died at the age of 31, just when he was at the height of his artistic career, since he was gaining more and more recognition and popularity in Mexico and around the world. The rapper had just finished an international tour in which he had the opportunity to teach his art in several European countries and was waiting to visit different destinations in South America, so his death leaves "orphans" thousands of fans.
There are already several rappers and artists who have spoken about this terrible tragedy. MC Davo or Santa Fe Klan stand out, who wrote on their social networks that they couldn't believe that his friend had died: "It can't be carnal, tell me it's a lie."
