“Prison Break” Season 5 will see a bigger “adventure” for brothers Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell).

On the series’ official Twitter and Instagram accounts, Fox unveiled the “Prison Break” Season 5 poster, which features the two brothers. Only half of their faces are visible in the dark poster, which seems to hint at a darker and more intense storyline. The tagline of the series also teases that Michael and Lincoln will have bigger obstacles to take on when they try to break the former out of his prison in Yemen. “First, it was a prison. Now, it’s a nation,” read the poster.

In addition, the poster confirmed the “Prison Break” Season 5 premiere date and the number of episodes the installment will have. Miller previously hinted during an interview with Digital Spy that they may add more episodes depending on the response, but for now, it looks like the reboot will definitely have nine episodes. Fox also encouraged fans to tune in when “Prison Break” Season 5 premieres on April 4. Check out the poster for “Prison Break” Season 5 below.

Meanwhile, Purcell recently opened up about the revival at the Television Critics Association winter previews. He revealed to TV Guide how “Prison Break” Season 5 came to be, despite the fact that the series ended with Michael’s death back in 2009. The actor explained that it was him and Miller who really pushed for the series to be brought back on air.

“Wentworth [Miller] and I were working on ‘The Flash.’ And we hadn't seen each other for quite some time, we just started to talk about ‘Prison Break.’ Before we knew it we were at Fox talking to them about [revisiting] the show. And it was more or less greenlit pretty fast,” he told the publication in February.

Purcell also credited Netflix for the renewed interest in “Prison Break.” He shared that through the streaming site, many young fans discovered the first four seasons of the Fox series and revived the clamor for another installment.

Find out what happens to Michael and Lincoln when “Prison Break” Season 5, episode 1 premieres on Tuesday, April 4 at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.
