Priscilla Presley and Riley Keough settle for Lisa Marie Presley's estate

Elvis Presley's ex-wife, Priscilla, 77, has reached an agreement with her granddaughter, actress Riley Keough, 33, for the inheritance of Lisa Marie, daughter of the first and mother of the second. "There is agreement, the families are happy, united and excited for the future," said Priscilla's attorney, Ronson Shamoun. The two parties have reached a conciliation agreement after Priscilla questioned the legitimacy of the will of her daughter Lisa Marie Presley, who died last January due to a heart problem.

The legal dispute began four days after the funeral for the only daughter of the king of rock, when her mother's lawyers filed a petition with a Los Angeles court questioning the "authenticity and validity" of an amendment made in 2016 about Lisa Marie's estate. Priscilla was wary that her daughter had removed her and her business assistant, Barry Siegel, as trustees of the will and replaced them with her grandsons Riley and Benjamin Keough, who committed suicide in 2020 when he was 27. years.

Suspicions focused on the fact that the amendment was not witnessed or notarized, that this change was not communicated to Lisa Marie Presley while she was alive, and that the name Priscilla was misspelled in the document.

Now, the agreement, of which the details have not been revealed, must be endorsed with a judicial document signed by both parties before June 12 and in another hearing scheduled for August 4.

Riley Keough's legal representative, Justin Gold, assured CNN on Tuesday that she is "very happy" and that "if not, she would not have agreed" to the agreement.

Elvis Presley's only daughter died on January 12 at the age of 54 after being hospitalized for a heart problem that the Los Angeles County coroner has yet to determine.

She followed in her father's footsteps and in 2003 released her first album, To Whom it May Concern. This was followed by two more productions, but since 2012 she had not released any new album.
