El Hormiguero takes a break until September. The television program presented by Pablo Motos said goodbye to a new season this Monday (number 17; 12 on Antena 3), in which it has again signed large audiences. On a daily basis, it is followed by an average of 2.4 million viewers and achieves a 16.7% share, according to data from Telemagazine.
Motos said goodbye to the season with the comedians Santiago Segura, Luis Piedrahita, El Monagillo and Jorge Marrón. Together they filled the set of El Hormiguero with soap bubbles, to the sound of the song Summer Holidays. Very proper for the time.
In the midst of so much joy, Motos did not resist launching some advice to the audience for this summer. "Before we go, allow me a couple of suggestions," said the presenter of the program.
"In a month there are elections," he recalled. And he launched his first advice: "Do not allow your ideology to win over your friends. Discussing politics with a friend is more negative than positive," explained Motos, who believes that it makes more sense to discuss "for the sauce of the patatas bravas" .
The general elections on July 23 have acquired great prominence in the last week of El Hormiguero. Two of the candidates for the presidency of the Government passed through the Antena 3 set: the current chief executive, Pedro Sánchez; and the leader of the opposition, Alberto Nuñez Feijóo.
Then politics came the technological advice: "If you can and it is highly recommended, do technological fasting. A few fixed hours a day without a mobile phone. If you get lost, leave the GPS and ask a local person, for example." "You are going to freak out how your head clears," stressed the presenter of El Hormiguero, who said goodbye until September, with "the odd surprise."
