Nacho Cano, on Rubiales': "He didn't do it well, but all that wax for a man who has a family..."

Nacho Cano is one of the most important musicians in our country. In addition to belonging to the Mecano group, Cano has participated in the production and direction of countless albums, plays, musicals, television specials, etc.

In addition to his role as a composer, musician and artist, the man from Madrid is characterized by having a strong personality and giving his opinion on any topic without fear of 'what people will say'. This has led him to be the protagonist of some controversies, since he has often positioned himself in favor of some specific politicians, just as he has fiercely criticized the Government of Spain.

Early in the morning on Thursday, September 14, the newspaper El Mundo exclusively published an interview with the stage director that has attracted a lot of attention from his followers and the general audience on social networks.

In this conversation, in addition to opening up and taking stock of his musical career and his experience living and working in America, Cano gave his opinion on one of the most controversial topics of current Spanish news: Luis Rubiales' non-consensual kiss to the former player of the Spanish women's soccer team Jenni Hermoso after winning the World Cup final in Australia.

Although he condemned the events, Nacho empathized with Rubiales' family and made it clear that he thinks that the former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) is suffering a public lynching that has crossed all limits.

''I understand that he didn't do it well and we will have to blame him, but let's just talk about that... That as a result of raising the glass everything is giving wax to a man who has a family, when sexual predators are being released that they have raped and no one reports it...'', the musician shared while expressing that he misses ''proportion'' in people's reactions.

The journalist in charge of the interview took the opportunity to ask the music producer about his relationship with the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, whom he has publicly defended on multiple occasions.

''I can only thank Isabel because during the pandemic she was brave (...) I did not bow to an ideology, but to a person who does what he says, something that is very little in style in current politics'' He explained and then pointed out that over time a friendship arose between him and the popular leader that remains to this day.
