Mario Vaquerizo attacks Marina Rivers live for her television ignorance: "You have to have a little general culture"

The controversy between Ángel Cristo García and Bárbara Rey continues to give something to talk about in the media. Last week the program ¡De friday! Telecinco published the complete interview with the son of the actress and star, where multiple aspects of his life were explained out of the ordinary. From the mistreatment when he was a baby to the relationship he had with King Emeritus Juan Carlos I. However, not everyone seemed to be on the case.

A situation that was demonstrated this Tuesday afternoon, during the broadcast of TardeAR on the Mediaset network. The program presented by Ana Rosa Quintana discussed at her table the possible statements of María Luisa Moreno, a friend of Ángel Cristo Sr., who had to confirm or deny the words of her son last Friday. Despite this, the lack of knowledge about the circus tamer caught a collaborator off guard: Marina Rivers.

The influencer admitted not completely knowing Ángel Cristo, even generating a little confusion when it came to mentioning his wife, Bárbara Rey, and even the alleged relationship she had with Juan Carlos I. Mario Vaquerizo came to the rescue, who was in charge to tell Rivers and the rest of the audience who Ángel Cristo was and his essential role in the rise of circus shows in Spain. Of course, he didn't do it without leaving a small dart to his partner.

“I just Googled who this man is, I'm sorry,” admitted the program collaborator, before Vaquerizo intervened to give her the summary. “I also tell young people one thing, I think you always have to have a little bit of general culture. Even if it's culture or subculture, whatever. This man was a sociological phenomenon in Spain in the 70s and 80s because he was the first trainer who put the circus on the rise in this country,” she explained.

Beyond these anecdotal moments, Ángel Cristo García's statements left on the table a difficult personal evolution: from being exploited in his father's circus to ending up rejecting his mother's skin, passing through the multitude of incidents he saw in his home. “The Moraleja house was a nightmare. There was fear, terror and blood. In that house I went in and out of everything: drugs, alcohol, prostitutes (...) My mother bore all the responsibility,” he said.

“My mother told me that I was born with a hiatal hernia, they detected it late, and since I didn't sleep well and cried a lot, she told me that sometimes she put Orfidal in my bottle so that I would sleep better,” he confessed. Orfidal, an anxiolytic, sedative, amnesiac and hypnotic, known to be one of the most powerful on the market. A situation that would have occurred in the family home on a recurring basis, aggravated by the bad environment and abuse.
