María Patiño has returned to Spain after two weeks filming the documentary ‘Sálvame’ in Miami and Mexico, and has taken advantage of her arrival at the Madrid airport to respond to criticism from her partner Paula Vázquez.
In a statement to Europa Press, the television presenter has made it clear that she does not agree with those media professionals who criticize successful formats such as ‘Save me’, as she considers it disrespectful towards the viewer.
María Patiño has expressed that for anyone in the media “criticizing a successful format is disrespectful to the viewer, a real professional respects what the viewer decides to choose and the others end up looking at their navels, at this point in life I cannot understand that way of thinking, it offends the viewer, I am very clear about what I want and what I am”, he said upon arrival.
The journalist has made it clear that she is very clear about what she wants and what it is, and she does not feel affected by the criticism of ‘Save me’ from some colleagues. For María, these criticisms do nothing more than despise the viewer and break with the number one rule of a media professional: working for the public and not for one’s own navel.
Regarding her experience outside of Spain, María Patiño has been excited and satisfied with her time in Mexico. The presenter has described her experience as “brutal” and the best she has had in her professional career. She has stated that she has been impressive and is grateful for the opportunity to participate in the ‘Sálvame’ documentary on Mexican lands.
After two intense weeks of recording in Miami and Mexico, María Patiño has assured that she has not yet had time to catch up with what has happened in Spain while she was away, and has stated that she has no intention of doing so: “We have not seen nothing and I don’t think I’ll see anything”. Now, she has to rest and recover after this enriching professional experience.
