The moment when the prison fate of Daniel Sancho, accused of having murdered Colombian Edwin Arrieta in Thailand last August, is getting closer and closer. A crime of which Sancho himself, 29 years old, confessed to being the author, which led to his arrest.

More than two months later, Daniel Sancho continues to serve provisional imprisonment in the Koh Samui prison, in the south of the Asian country. While his defense team in Spain tries to demonstrate that there was no premeditation in the case to avoid the capital punishment; New and shocking images of the crime have emerged.

Unpublished graphic material, crucial for the case and that will surely be used in the trial by the prosecution, which was broadcast on Tuesday afternoon on Y Ahora Sonsoles. Some chilling images of the Colombian's murder, which appear at a time that coincides with the conclusion of the 12-day period requested by the prosecutor investigating Daniel Sancho's case to present his allegations.

While they were discussing the case of Daniel Sancho and the latest progress in the investigation and the legal deadlines before the trial, the program broadcast the unpublished material. Thus, the public was able to see photographs of parts of the garbage bags allegedly used to transport the lifeless and dismembered body of Edwin Arrieta. The unpublished material issued by And Now Sonsoles is only a detail of the atrocious crime.

Sancho's lawyers intend to demonstrate that the murder of Edwin Arrieta was not premeditated, but that the use of said instruments - knives, saws and other paraphernalia found by the Thai Police - would have been completely improvised. "Premeditation is not the same as improvisation," emphasized Carmen Bafalgón, criminologist, lawyer and spokesperson for the Sancho family in the media.

Despite the doubts of the program's collaborators, Bafalgón continued to defend and question the premeditation in the crime, an essential factor for the prosecution to request the capital punishment for him, still legal in Thailand.

Bafalgón also confirmed that there is no approximate date for the trial, despite the fact that last Tuesday, October 17, the 12-day extension that the prosecutor had requested to analyze the police data and prepare his report of conclusions ended; which he must deliver to the judge so that he can set the trial date.

"The Prosecutor is doing his job perfectly, with a professionalism that I would like in other cases. He is not going to issue his report until he has things clear," said Bafalgón.

The future of Daniel Sancho continues to be uncertain and, for the moment, only the judge's decision to extend the provisional prison for another 12 days is known. The family of the confessed murderer of Edwin Arrieta is also waiting to appoint another Thai lawyer to be able to represent the young man in the Asian country in the trial, as dictated by law.
