Laia Codina reveals when they realized the seriousness of Rubiales' attitude after winning the World Cup

This Wednesday, Laia Codina, a former Barça player, and currently at Arsenal, is one of the players who is part of the Spanish women's soccer team and, therefore, winner of the Sydney World Cup. The champion visited the Tot Costa program on Catalunya Ràdio this Wednesday, and she revealed something important that was unknown up to now.

We talked about the moment when the players, in the middle of the celebration, realized the seriousness of Luis Rubiales' attitude: kissing Jennifer Hermoso and touching their genitals in the box. It seems that she was one of the veterans who had an impact on the matter and made his team reflect, which at that time was celebrating one of the most important awards of his career as an athlete.

Jennifer Hermoso has finally reported to the Prosecutor's Office the non-consensual kiss of Luis Rubiales at the World Cup. Therefore, with this step by the player, the prosecutor has already announced that she will file the corresponding complaint against the president of the Federation for an alleged crime of sexual assault.

The objective of the Prosecutor's Office is that the term is as short as possible to avoid the "excessive exposure" of the player to "media pressure". In this way, the circle is closed regarding the non-consensual kiss. Now it's time for justice to rule.

However, since the controversial events and Rubiales' subsequent controversial attitude took place, videos of the players have appeared, in full celebration of the World Cup, pointing out that at no time did they see the attitude of their president as serious and that it was, due to media pressure, that Jennifer Hermoso decided to denounce it publicly.

Well, this Wednesday Laia Codina cleared our doubts regarding this issue. During her interview for Tot costa, on Catalunya Ràdio, the world champion has made a clear statement on the matter. "In the end, really, we found out a little bit about everything inside the locker room," she began by saying herself.

And it is that, in the middle of the celebration, “you know that people are talking about something, but you don't know what. We got to the locker room, we started watching the news…”. However, "when we are really aware of the events that have happened, and I am not only talking about the kiss [to Jenni Hermoso], but also the gesture that Rubiales has next to the queen, when we are truly aware it is on the bus."

And he noted something relevant here: “When one of the veterans tells us: 'Be careful girls, because what has happened is very serious, it is unacceptable and we have to condemn it because the final is still an abuse of power by the boss with a player, who could have been any of us.'”
