Mediaset has once again opted for one of its most appreciated reality shows: Big Brother VIP. On September 14, the communication group premiered the format on Telecinco, in its eighth edition, where you can see recognized faces such as the model Jessica Bueno or the singer Karina, among others. So far, the format has resonated with the public with characters of all ages who promise to play until the final and who have already begun to strengthen ties with each other. In the last few hours, Karina has revealed what led her to participate in the contest at 76 years of age.
In recent months, Telecinco has faced a drop in viewership, something that has forced the leadership of Mediaset to take a change of course to try to regain the public's attention. One of the changes that generated the most controversy was the cancellation of Sálvame, one of the network's most legendary programs, which was on the air for more than fourteen years. Thus, they opted for a new program, hosted by Ana Rosa Quintana, called TardeAR. Furthermore, the network's directors considered that recovering Big Brother VIP could give results... and for the moment, the public has responded.
As in the standard version of the reality show, from which authentic television giants such as Kiko Hernández or Adara Molinero have emerged, the cameras constantly record the activities of the participants, which gives viewers a vision of everything that happens on the day. to the day of these famous people. Mediaset has put all its efforts to present new features in this new edition, as well as a completely renovated house equipped with great amenities for its tenants.
As we said, among the contestants is the singer Karina, who is the oldest in the house. Karina is known by everyone, but GH VIP is being a great opportunity for her to tell her own story. She did so by being the first contestant of the edition to draw and tell her 'Curve of Life', an already legendary test in the contest in which the contestants must capture the ups and downs of her life.
The singer, born in Jaén, recalled to the audience how as a child she had to work at an early age. "I had a beautiful childhood, due to life's vicissitudes we have to come to Madrid and I ask him how to talk. Yes, I would understand the people of Madrid. Here I am surprised that my school uniform has not been put in my luggage "Then they tell me that I will only be able to go to an academy because I won't be able to go to school," explained the interpreter of The Arrows of Love.
It was at that moment when the artist became excited. Karina could not hide her tears when she saw photos of her and her siblings in the living room, as well as images that reminded her of very emotional moments in her life. And as it could not be otherwise, Karina reviewed her loves, an essential point in her personal life. The artist was moved when she remembered the family she has formed, and it was then that the singer listened to an emotional audio of her daughter Azahara, which made her end up in tears.
"I'm having a great time and the kids are too, sometimes I put them on 24 hours a day. We're watching you all day, you're not alone," her daughter told her in the audio that the program shared with the artist. "So much emotion, I don't know where I'm going," Karina said later regarding her curve. A curve in which not only the good moments of her life were reflected, but also the complicated ones.
Among the difficult moments, the artist recalled the separation from her first husband, as well as the death of her parents and her father-in-law. She also talked about her thyroid disease, something that made him very sad. "Then my granddaughter Ana is born, she is a little sick, but I ask God every night that she gets well. That is why I am here, so that my daughter can look for better doctors," he revealed, in a confession. that has overwhelmed all viewers of the format.
