The premiere of Cuentos Chinos this past Monday has not left anyone indifferent. The new format of Telecinco’s prime time access meant the return of one of the network’s most popular presenters, Jorge Javier Vázquez. The Catalan was away from the media spotlight and cameras for several months due to health problems, which prevented him from being present at the end of his legendary program, Sálvame.
After months of uncertainty about their professional future, the audiovisual group gave the green light to this new format, which would compete with the almighty program presented by Pablo Motos, El Hormiguero. For this reason, last night all eyes were on this new space, which generated a continuous flood of comments on social networks with total disparity of opinions.
But not only the program has generated all kinds of reactions among viewers. The presenter’s initial words have also caused a great media stir within the same network and even some of his colleagues have not hesitated to respond. The Catalan began the program by throwing a dart at all those who had been working on the Fuencarral network during the summer.
”If I were a collaborator this summer I would be afraid of going to jail for having killed someone from boredom,” he said. Many have linked this hint with The Summer Program and with the team of Así es la vida, the replacement for Sálvame during the summer and which will end soon with the premiere of TardeAR.
For this reason, this Tuesday during the broadcast of the new program, the presenters, César Muñoz and Sandra Barneda, did not hesitate to respond to Jorge Javier Vázquez. While they were commenting on the criticism that Alejandra Rubio had received for going to work after the death of her grandmother, María Teresa Campos, Barneda took advantage of the occasion to respond indirectly to her colleague.
”Doing a program in the summer or any type of program… I love people. And since I have grown fond of you all, it is like a feeling of not criticizing and trying to protect the team we form, whatever the hearing we do, ” she assured.
”That things are not bad for us, that things have gone very well for us and things will be better for us, but I like to protect people and value the work you do every day. One day we have a better day and another worse. One day we have a funnier program and another duller, we can’t avoid it,’ he concluded. ”Do you think we have been dull? I had a great time,” said César Muñoz. ”We are entering a garden. Let’s go to something else…”, assured the presenter.
