Joaquín is sweeping television and will be the star of a new Atresmedia program

The television career of former soccer player Joaquín Sánchez continues to expand. The former Betis player is immersed in his professional career on the small screen thanks to Atresmedia. And his great self-confidence, humility and talent for making anyone laugh were enough for Antena 3 to decide to give the midfielder a chance.

For this reason, the San Sebastián de los Reyes network premiered El Novato last season, a new program in which the Sevillian, in addition to interviewing each of his guests, also had to put himself in the shoes of these professionals in his sector. The good reception that the format had helped the audiovisual group decide to renew it for a second season.

But it seems that the audiovisual group continues to trust the athlete as one of its emblematic faces, which is why it has decided to give him a new program. As revealed exclusively by the Yotele media, Joaquín will be the presenter of a new television program called El Capitan.

This new audiovisual project is the third for the former soccer player at Atresmedia, after El Novato and the docu-series La penúltima y me voy. In addition, La Sexta also broadcast last June the farewell celebration organized by the Sevillian team to honor the Andalusian's sporting career.

As explained by the aforementioned media, this new program will be presented by the former soccer player and will take place on a television set. A great novelty for the athlete, who has always recorded his television spots in more natural environments. In addition, El Capitan will be a great evening entertainment format. In each program, the former soccer player will be accompanied by seven collaborators and each of them will be in charge of a section, which in turn will be a great challenge for Joaquín.

For the moment it has emerged that the production company in charge will be Proamagna and that the audiovisual group has given the green light to six installments, which will be recorded next November in Seville. It is still unknown who will be the seven famous faces that will accompany the former soccer player, but the production company is already in full negotiation.
