Javier Ambrosi opens up about his traumas for having gone to a Catholic school

Tonight Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo visited the set of El Hormiguero to talk about La Mesías, their latest series that will premiere soon on Movistar plus. With a religious and dogmatic background, Lo Javis have said that this is their version of a thriller and that the filming and post-production process has been especially long.

The Javis have recognized that the story their new production tells has left its mark on some of the actors, due to the harshness of some scenes, and even on themselves. In fact, Javier Ambrossi has confessed to Motos that the background of the series has removed traumas from his childhood. He "he Has been a healer."

“I have gone to school as a gay child and as an LGBT person, being in a school where they point at you and tell you that your desires are a sin and disgusting… I haven't gotten that out of my mind,” he explained. Although “being able to write and direct helps me feel lighter,” he has stated that “I don't have a healthy relationship with sex. I have a lot of inner storm.”

In fact, he has opened up about it and explained that he still has childhood wounds. What's more, he has given as an example that “now I'm walking down the street and I see a group of teenage boys and I'm still afraid, and I'm almost 40 years old…”

With that confession he wanted to openly comment on the need to “reflect that what happens to you at school you have for life”, something that Javier Calvo has subscribed to. In fact, the series has emerged with the idea that we can talk about “everything” and “with respect.”

Furthermore, Calvo has confessed that the idea that a weekly episode will be broadcast is so that the public can "reflect on the episode."
