Genoveva Casanova leaves Madrid after her photographs with Federico of Denmark

There is no talk of anything else: the photographs of Genoveva Casanova and Federico from Denmark together walking through Madrid and spending the night at the Mexican businesswoman's house have caused quite a stir in the international gossip press.

Some images that star on the cover of Lecturas magazine this week and that provoked on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 7, the reaction of both the Mexican, who denied any type of relationship with the heir to the Danish throne; as well as from the Danish Royal House itself, from where a brief statement was issued in which they refused to divulge anything about the prince's private life.

The ex-wife of Cayetano Martínez de Irujo denied any type of relationship with the heir to the Danish throne, although she did admit that they had friends in common. As the Mexican businesswoman explained to Ana Rosa Quintana, her situation had her completely "overwhelmed", which had led her to make two important decisions to try to overcome all this controversy.

First, the mother of the grandchildren of the late Duchess of Alba decided to trust her lawyers, who sent a statement to the media in which they "formally urged them to annul, rectify and/or deny" the report or any insinuation of that there could be "a romantic relationship with HRH Prince Frederick of Denmark".

On the other hand, the businesswoman would have decided to put things in the way. Precisely this Wednesday, November 8, the former Duchess of Salvatierra turns 47 years old. A birthday has become the protagonist of controversy, something that she probably doesn't like too much given the discretion that she has always characterized when it comes to dealing with her personal life.

Genoveva Casanova decided, after denying any existing love or sentimental relationship with the Danish prince, to leave Madrid for an unknown destination. A different birthday, but one that she will celebrate far from the eye of the hurricane.

As Vanitatis explained in the hours before the cover was published, the former Duchess of Salvatierra and Prince Frederick of Denmark know each other through mutual friends. Precisely because of that friendship, the "task" of accompanying the future Danish sovereign on his escapade through the capital fell to her, which was apparently going to be carried out by another mutual friend who fell ill at the last minute.

"I want to make it very clear that I have no relationship with him, as is being said. We are friends and the photos do not prove anything. Except for those who want to distort the images and see where there are none. We have common friends and I am not going to tell who They are my friends," the Mexican explained to the aforementioned publication.

That is why you can see both walking through El Retiro and visiting such emblematic points as the Thyssen Museum. However, this version does not explain why the crown prince did not report his stay in Spain and was only accompanied by two bodyguards.

It is also not explained why he spent several hours during the night at the Mexican businesswoman's house, before taking a flight back to his country.
