Second loss in less than a month in Survivors 2023. The voluntary abandonment of Patricia Donoso has just been added to that of Gema Aldón for strictly medical reasons. Ana María Aldón's daughter will have to return to Spain to continue her recovery.
During today's gala, Jorge Javier Vázquez has connected live with Gema Aldón, who had been separated from living together to carry out new medical tests due to the ailments she suffered in her elbow.
The contestant was hurt during the leader test and, although at first she refused the attention of the medical team, she finally agreed to undergo an MRI to see what she has and what treatment would be appropriate.
The presenter has announced that he will finally have to leave the contest: "Gema, we have news for you and for the audience. After several days of observation and subjecting you to various tests, the program's medical team has determined that the extent of the injury is a crack in an elbow bone that makes it impossible for you to stay in the contest".
"I can only wish you a good trip back. I am very sorry but your participation in Survivors 2023 ends here, a program that made you especially excited, but it could not have been," Jorge Javier told Ana María's daughter Aldon.
After hearing the decision of the medical team, Gema was moved and said a few words of farewell: "It was a program that I have always loved, in which my mother was, but I leave knowing that I have given everything. I hope that the people have seen that even when my elbow hurt, I kept fishing and kept doing tests. At no time did I give up," he assured.
