Flood of criticism to RTVE for choosing this place for Soraya Arnelas to give Eurovision points: ''Maximum rudeness''

Eurovision 2024 has given a lot of talk in recent days. The presence of Israel in the musical contest placed the rest of the countries in a very uncomfortable situation, as well as the majority of journalists, who decided not to cover the work of said delegation due to the conflict with Palestine.

While the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) looked the other way and censored everything related to the Palestinian cause, some representatives took a stand and gave their opinion more or less freely. To this we must add that the presence of Netanyahu's country caused demonstrations throughout the city, thousands of publications on the Internet calling for a boycott of the contest, etc.

Although there was a general fear that Israel would win, it was finally Nemo, representative of Switzerland, who gained enough support (both from the jury and the public) and won the coveted crystal microphone.

For its part, the Spanish delegation received a lot of criticism for not taking a position on the issue of Israel (it only released a statement asking for freedom of the press when a Spanish journalist was attacked). Furthermore, Nebulossa's 22nd place in the final has caused many Eurofans in our country to ask for the resignation of María Eizaguirre and Ana María Bordas at the head of the team.

Another of the great Spanish Eurodramas of this year has been the place chosen by Spanish Television to give the points of the Spanish professional jury. People were satisfied that Soraya Arnelas was the spokesperson, but hundreds of people criticized the spot that the public entity had prepared for such an occasion.

''It's extremely shabby'', ''If you want to give them from Benidorm, at least look for a nice place and not a piece of sand with 2 flower pots and a Spanish flag behind it'', ''With the heritage, monuments, cathedrals, palaces and fantasies that we have in Spain, is it necessary to give the votes from such a poorly lit beach?'', ''There was no uglier place'', ''With how beautiful the Benidorm skyline is or' 'Let's see if they get their act together next year' are some of the comments about it that can be read on X (formerly Twitter).

The spectators did not like the place, but they also did not enjoy the outfit of the Spanish representative in Eurovision 2009: ''What was she doing with gloves in May in Benidorm?'', ''Very badly dressed. Regrettable '', ''she nor she was recognized'', ''Everything wrong'', etc.
