Fabiola Martínez opens up about caring for her son Kike: "I face things for which I am not prepared"

Kike, the eldest of the children of Bertín Osborne and Fabiola Martínez, is without a doubt an example of improvement. Born prematurely in 2007 and suffering from cerebral palsy due to a Listeria infection during pregnancy, he has survived numerous health complications.

His parents and the rest of his siblings live dedicated to him. In addition to surgeries, the young man has suffered epileptic attacks and osteoporosis problems; which has caused him to undergo rehabilitation exercises to improve his health. He has become a hero for the entire family, although his mother recognizes that he faces things that she is not prepared for in her daily life caring for her.

Bertín Osborne's ex-wife has opened up like never before about what it means to take care of her son Kike and his needs, admitting to being overwhelmed at times. The Venezuelan has lived through very complicated times, and she wanted to be honest about the reality of how she experienced the arrival of her first-born.

The businesswoman opened up like never before at the Oral-B brand's social project event, Let's Recapacitate to Train, where she wanted to share her experience as a mother. "A child with a disability turns your world upside down, it throws you off, because no one expects it to happen to you," reflects the Venezuelan, who also recognizes that she experienced Kike's arrival partly as a mourning.

Bertín Osborne's ex-wife also acknowledged that, sometimes, it is very hard for a person to depend completely on her, as is the case with Kike. A situation that makes her face things for which she admits that she is not prepared, as she is not a professional. "I believe that no caregiver is prepared if she is not professional," the Venezuelan insisted.

However, despite the difficulties, the former Venezuelan model insists that the best thing for all those in the same situation is to allow themselves to be bad.

"There are bad days, obviously, but you train your attitude," he confessed, revealing that the key was to realize that you could "be bad" in order to be good. "When I can, I say, sleep cure. Crying cure too, and I allow myself certain licenses," she explained.

The businesswoman has always acknowledged being very family-oriented, and in addition to her work as president of the Bertín Osborne Foundation and her commitments to various charitable causes; She dedicates all her time to both of her, Kike and Carlos. The two teenagers are also aware that they will no longer be the little ones in the family, in favor of the singer's sixth child, who will become a father again with Gabriela Guillén in just a few months.
