Raquel Bollo starred in a serious incident on Tuesday afternoon, just before the end of the broadcast of Sálvame. The designer exploded after having met Rocío Cortés, daughter of Chiquetete, in the corridors of Mediaset, after having been interviewed on the same program, and she forced an abrupt end.
The moment has been widely commented on due to the enormous tension experienced between Bollo and the collaborators of the space that Telecinco broadcasts, even going as far as insulting the chain and mentioning the name of Rocío Carrasco twice despite her veto in the communication group. For all these reasons, the director of Sálvame, David Valldeperas, has started this Wednesday's edition giving explanations about everything that happened.
"Yesterday we experienced a situation on this set that needs an explanation," Valldeperas began to intervene. "The participation of Raquel's children in Survivors has generated statements from friends and enemies of the Cortés family," he continued, recalling the interview that Rocío, who is also the half-sister of Alma Bollo and Manuel Cortés, underwent yesterday.
David Valldeperas has clarified that the invitation to the cantaora was limited to "talking exclusively about how Alma and Manuel are experiencing the contest". However, the interview with Rocío Cortés ended up becoming a crossroads of accusations against Raquel Bollo, something for which the director of Sálvame has made self-criticism: "We did not make the right decision," he assured.
On behalf of the entire program, David Valldeperas has publicly apologized to Raquel Bollo for the magnitude that Rocío Cortés' words have reached. "We're sorry, we were wrong yesterday," she said. The director continued alluding to the reason why the designer exploded: "We want to make it clear that this program and its team will always be next to the victims of gender violence; Raquel Bollo was the victim of mistreatment by Chiquetete, and In this matter, he will always have us by his side", assured Valldeperas.
David recalled that Raquel already received "in her day" the support of the current Sálvame team, since the beginning of the space. "Time and circumstances have contaminated our relationship; today, there are many differences that separate us from her, but there is something in which we will always be by her side: the horror that she lived with Chiquetete", Valldeperas concluded, emphasizing in their support for "all victims of gender violence, without differences".
