The murder of the Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta at the hands, allegedly, of the Spanish cook Daniel Sancho, has caused a great shock in our society. The events occurred at the beginning of August on the island of Koh Phangan, south of Thailand.
The couple of 'special' friends were enjoying a few days in the Asian country when the son of actor Rodolfo Sancho prepared the crime scene, ended Arrieta's life, dismembered him and disposed of the body.
After several months of investigation in which the accused has remained in Koh Samui prison, the Thai Prosecutor's Office has drawn up the report by which he will be tried. The agency accuses Sancho of premeditated murder and concealment of the body, charges that the young man will not admit before the judge.
During all these weeks in prison, the Spaniard has been receiving some visits, among which those from his father, the actor Rodolfo Sancho, and his mother, Silvia Bronchalo, stand out. The legal team that represents the accused in our country has also traveled to the Asian island.
According to sources close to the prison on the Thai island, Sancho is quite integrated into the group of prisoners, although at first he had a really bad time and had to go to the infirmary several times due to problems with nervousness, anxiety and insomnia.

Before entering provisional prison, some witnesses had seen the young man practicing this wrestling discipline in a local venue, so interest in this sport was not born as a result of his arrest.
