Little by little more details about the case of Dani Alves come to light. The soccer player was jailed on January 20 after being accused of an alleged rape of a 23-year-old girl at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona. While justice is assessing whether to release the Brazilian or, on the contrary, keep him in prison, the athlete's latest statements have come to light. Cadena SER has had access to the full transcript of the footballer's entire statement on April 17, where he tries to dismantle the victim's version.
As revealed by the aforementioned medium, on December 30, 2022, Dani Alves attended a work dinner in Barcelona. "It was a reunion dinner with friends after the World Cup," said the Brazilian in his last statement. After the engagement, Alves went to the disco with his friend Bruno. Upon arrival at the premises, they were guarded up to table 6. "They put us there for the simple fact that this table has a bathroom," said the player, saying that this way they avoided problems going to the restrooms of the general public.
This is the athlete's fourth statement before the judge. In it, he claimed to have proposed to the victim to be intimate in the bathroom and get a yes for an answer. "Those girls came to our private room, but we did not insist, nor did the waiter to them," Alves started explaining. "I could tell her good disposition from the way she danced, how she moved closer to me, how we traded positions," he continued.
