Dani Alves' key week: the decision that could set him free

Two weeks ago the news broke of the request for freedom by Dani Alves until the day of the trial. Mayka Navarro narrated in the Ana Rosa Program that the soccer player's lawyer had formalized the petition and that they were awaiting a resolution.

According to the same reporter, the day of the decision would be closer than ever, this week being the date set by the magistrate handling the case. But, the end of this request could not be favorable for the Brazilian.

"This week is important," assured Navarro. Although the request by Alves' lawyer was accompanied by a guarantee not to flee and to remain in Spain until the day of the trial, "the other parties positioned themselves against it, first the prosecutor and then the victim's lawyer," he continued.

The latter, Ester García, warned "of the great risk of escape" that exists, as the reporter has remarked, although the footballer's lawyer assures otherwise. Something that could tip the balance against Alves.

Although it is not definitive, "if nothing changes" it will be this week when the final decision is announced. Something that "will not be easy", according to Mayka Navarro explained. "This week we will be able to have some details of the resolution that delves into those elements against freedom", she concluded.

These negative aspects would be key for the judge to decline the request. With this, Alves would continue in the Brians 2 prison on a provisional basis until the moment he finally judges the Brazilian.

And this same week Dani Alves celebrated his 40th birthday. An anniversary behind bars, something that could never have been imagined. However, both his ex-partner, Joana Sanz, and his mother, Lucía Alves, wanted to show their support for the footballer.

Some congratulations that have not gone unnoticed for their doses of controversy included. Alves' mother was betting on the innocence of her son and assured that the one who has put him "in that trap will pay for everything." Sanz, for his part, described the alleged rape of the footballer as a "mistake" on his part, a statement that not everyone liked.
