Controversy over a TikTok by journalist Juliana Canet about Ibai Llanos: "He's a bit of a rat boy, he has the face of eating pussies"

The journalist and regular collaborator of Catalunya Ràdio, Juliana Canet, has been involved in a storm of criticism in recent hours. The one born in Cardedeu has received a barrage of messages against it, including dismissal petitions, after a TikTok video was leaked that she would have deleted shortly after posting it. The images, in which she launched a forceful critical message towards the streamer Ibai Llanos, were rescued and published by the person involved.

The clip in question shows Canet and fellow XL host Roger Carandell analyzing male characters based on whether they have "pussy eating energy." The first on the list was Ibai, and both agreed that the influencer fit that statement, Canet herself later reflecting on how Llanos fit into this category.

“I think there is a type of guy, that Ibai is a bit like this profile, like life has not treated him particularly well, up to a point in his life, now he is surely stopping eating so much pussy, but he is a type of guy that it is seen that he is like a geek, a bit of a rat boy; and then, since they know that they have everything to lose, they give themselves a lot to all facets of life where they feel they can have something”, indicated the collaborator.

The video, which Ibai posted on his own Twitter account after Canet had already deleted it, went viral in a matter of hours. At the time of writing these lines, she already accumulates more than five million views, as well as 17,600 'likes'. Although the main line of the responses is astonishment and confusion at Canet's statements, there are also those comments that have questioned the presenter's behavior.

"Change 'uncle' for 'aunt' and these two do not appear again in the CCMA for life," indicated a user, referring to the position of both as journalists for Catalunya Ràdio. A veteran of Catalan radio, Llucià Ferrer, also contributed his critical grain of sand to the conversation: "I won't comment, but what you have to do to be a trend...".

Given the avalanche of responses and negative comments, Juliana Canet has made a move and has apologized this morning through a message on her Twitter account. "Good morning! It really hurts me that a video made for my TikTok, without any bad intentions and with a joking tone, has been misinterpreted in this way. I don't say anything about fat or ugly people”, expressed the Catalan influencer.

For its part, the Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals has not yet ruled on these images. During the last months, the public entity has been involved in different controversies with its collaborators, one of them ended in dismissal. It was the case of Manel Vidal, at that time presenter of Zona Franca, who was forced to leave TV3 after linking the PSC to a swastika.

Along similar lines, Toni Soler, Jair Domínguez and Judit Marín were indicted for the alleged crime of insults after parodying the Virgen del Rocío in the program Està passant. The complaint, in charge of Christian Lawyers, was admitted for processing in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, and will lead the three involved to testify on October 27.
