Carlota Corredera speaks out about the cancellation of 'Chinese Tales': ''We are all fragile''

Telecinco surprised yesterday with bombshell news that left its millions of viewers speechless: the cancellation of Cuentos Chinos. The leaders of the network decided to put an end to the television career of the comedy and interview space due to the poor audience results it had garnered during its three weeks of broadcast.

Although the bad data was more than evident, neither Jorge Javier Vázquez nor any of the format workers believed that the end was so close, since Cuentos Chinos had been one of Mediaset España's big bets for the new season and was located in access to prime time, one of the most competitive time slots.

Hours after the news came to light, the Catalan communicator spoke out through a publication on his Instagram account and apologized to his followers for not having known how to find the key and please the audience.

''It's time to pack your bags and, as Manuela Carmena told us yesterday: Keep trusting in life. Always. Thank you and sorry for not having been able to find the key to your complicity. "That's the shame I have left," she expressed in the photo and video platform's writing.

During the last hours, some former colleagues of the philologist have wanted to give their opinion on the cancellation of the space. Carlota Corredera, a journalist who worked with Vázquez for years in Sálvame, spoke to the media yesterday: "I have not been able to speak with him, but I can only say one thing and that is that I feel very sorry for him and for the team from last to first ".

''I think that TV is like that and at this point we are used to it or we have to be prepared, at least for things like this to happen (...) The magic formula of television does not exist and sometimes it works that you do it and other times No,'' Corredera said, explaining that he understands that the results were not as expected.

Rocío Carrasco's friend gave her opinion and explained that for her three weeks is a very short time and that the program could turn around, but she pointed out that it is only her point of view and that she is not in the offices. Furthermore, the journalist took advantage of the moment to reflect on her partner and on the people who work in the media in the foreground: ''Jorge is strong but he is also very fragile. All of us who work with others, with the public, are very fragile people, right? And very vulnerable, not everyone is so exposed to knowing what they think of you."

Finally, Carlota wished encouragement and luck to the entire Chinese Tales team and dedicated some nice words to Jorge Javier: ''I hope that right now he will have a clean slate, and I'm sure that huge projects await him, that is, Jorge He's 53 years old, right? And I also believe that he is a person who is happy working, right? And I hope to see him very soon."
