News that has caught the contestant off guard, whose unexpected reaction has surprised everyone. And it is that, despite the fact that many assured that mother-in-law and daughter-in-law had a bad relationship, the truth is that when Yulen has informed her mother of the end of her relationship with the singer's niece, she has burst into tears with great regret .
The breakup of Anabel Pantoja and Yulen Pereira came to the fore once the latest edition of Survivors began. In fact, Jorge Javier Vázquez himself recently recalled the fencer having kept quiet about that bombshell at the first gala of the program. Hence her mother, Arelys, a contestant in the 2023 edition, traveled to Honduras without knowing the sad news.
For this reason and given the circumstances, the reunion between mother and son had generated so much expectation. What would your reaction be when you found out what happened? Against all odds and despite gossip, Arelys showed this Sunday in Survivors: Honduras Connection that he did have a good relationship with the singer's niece and that the break with her son hurts him.
"Everyone is freaking out with you," Yulen told her after surprising her and melting into long hugs with her mother. “You're doing great, you're doing better than me, huh”, assured the fencer. Arelys, who couldn't believe such a great surprise, kept repeating to him how good she smelled and how handsome he was. "Thank you for bringing it to me," the contestant told the reality show organization.
And, as expected, the woman wanted her son to bring her up to date and make sure that everything was going well abroad. "Everything is fine, don't worry about anything," the fencer reassured him. However, something was not right and Yulen wanted to tell her mother about it.
"There is something that is not right", began by saying the winner of Survivors 2022 while his mother looked at him attentively. "Anabel and I are no longer together," she blurted out. To which Arelys immediately asked for the reasons and the moment in which the breakup occurred. "It was a month ago. But I'm fine. I am fine, she is fine, we are all fine”, said the fencer.
“He is giving me news that I understand that Spain knows and I just found out. I am very sorry, it hurts a lot, that people thought otherwise, ”she assured with tears in her eyes.
"It hurts", he continued almost unable to articulate a word. "But... I understand that my son will give me his explanations and I will be able to talk to Anabel, but it hurts me to have to hear this here, it hurts a lot," she concluded with great regret.
To which Ion Aramendi, presenter of the program, asked him: "You have to do one thing, which is to trust your son and what he tells you if he is fine and everything is fine... you believe that."
