Ana Rosa Quintana's 'guardian angel' that no one expected

Ana Rosa Quintana continues to look for her place in the afternoons of Telecinco before audiences that are not similar to those she achieved in the mornings. The presenter was one of the network's flagships for this new season, and she came ready to be the 'queen of the afternoons', but she is seeing how the throne is being snatched away by her rival Sonsoles Ónega.

Just a week ago, the journalist had to see how her program garnered a 7.1% audience share and 635,000 viewers, a new historical low for the space that is far from the audiences achieved by its predecessor, Sálvame. However, she continues to be happy doing what she likes most, and, so much so, that she does not hesitate to talk about her private life.

And ever since she managed to overcome breast cancer that kept her away from television for a while, she has wanted to tell her experience in order to help anyone going through something similar. Now, she has taken advantage of the fact that the protagonists of the program Desnudos por la vida have come to her space to explain new details.

This new Wednesday night show, hosted by Jesús Vázquez, undresses several celebrities for a good cause: raising awareness around cancer prevention. For this reason, Ana Rosa Quintana has been very excited about her presence on set.

The presenter wanted to know what guests the program will have during its first season. "A lot of people. Doctors, professionals, nutritionists... Oh, and your teacher came," Vázquez revealed. And it seems that it is this person to whom the journalist is "very grateful."

"Because since I was diagnosed with breast cancer I said: 'Let's see Quintana, here we have to focus, we have to be strong for the operation, for the chemo, we have to know what is going to happen to us'", has related. "And then I found a guardian angel who is an expert in sports, but in cancer," she added.

The affection she feels for her coach is so great that she still continues to attend her classes, despite having already overcome cancer. A confession that has surprised many. And, after this, what they have asked on set is whether Ana Rosa Quintana would be willing to be one of the personalities to get naked in a possible second season of Desnudos por la vida.

Something that seems like it might not happen for two reasons. The first is that she herself has denied it: "I can go talk in the first person about what cancer is." And the second is the low audience figure that she has achieved in her premiere: a 10% share and 860,000 viewers. A figure that, if it does not improve, does not portend a future for the program.
