The death of María Teresa Campos was a hard blow to the world of media. The long-time journalist, who accumulated a career of more than half a decade between television and radio, died on September 5 at the age of 82, after spending three days admitted to the Jiménez Díaz Foundation in Madrid. During an intervention on Así es la vida, the Telecinco program in which she usually collaborates, the granddaughter of the “Queen of the Mornings” responded to the multitude of criticisms received after returning to work this week. Alejandra Rubio defended herself in the Mediaset space after issuing a statement in the last hours, explaining her reasons for ending the mourning and returning to her position as a television collaborator two days after her loss.
“I don't usually get involved in anything and even less pay attention to empty people who only seek their moment of glory on television at the expense of disrespecting others... Yes, I'm working after my grandmother died, exactly the same as anyone else. human. I carry my grief and my pain as best I can, not as you want me to,” explained the young journalist in an Instagram story.
“Enough of allowing people to say atrocities of this type in a public environment, thank God I sleep quite peacefully at night. Please live and let live,” he concluded, before adding that “all this comes from the reel I uploaded from the rain, it's shameful.” Some words that he reiterated to Sandra Barneda and the Así es la vida team after the criticism received: “I have not starred in any cover giving any exclusive about anything.”
“In the end we are a public family and it was my turn, so to speak,” Rubio explained, resigned to the dismissive messages that have arrived since her return to work.
