Alba Redondo speaks out about the Rubiales controversy in 'La Resistencia': "This cannot happen and people know it perfectly"

The Príncipe Gran Vía Theater in Madrid opens its doors to begin the seventh season of La Resistencia today, Monday, September 11. With a view to starting strong, David Broncano's program receives today Alba Redondo, player of the Women's Soccer Team and champion of the World Cup Final.

The soccer player has experienced one of the most special moments of her career by winning the World Cup, an achievement that has unfortunately been overshadowed by the controversy raised by Luis Rubiales after kissing Jenni Hermoso in the celebration. Following the resignation of the president of the Spanish Football Federation this past weekend, Alba promises to inaugurate the season with a unique interview.

David Broncano took the opportunity to ask her about Luis Rubiales' controversial kiss, to which the footballer responded: “Our merit has been greatly tarnished. First of all, I would like to say that above all, all of us colleagues have always gone hand in hand, supporting Jenni 100%, because this is something that can never happen again."

Likewise, the woman from Albacete bluntly confesses: "I support Jenni because this cannot happen and people know it perfectly", a response that has sparked a wave of applause on the set.

The champion has also responded without taboos to the two famous most demanding questions of La Resistencia. Regarding her money in the bank, Alba has assured that she does not have that much money: "Much less than you," she points out.

On the other hand, Alba has assured that the number of sexual relations in the last month leaves much to be desired: "The last month accounts for a part of the concentration of the World Cup...this month has been poor," says Redondo before affirming to the audience: "This month it must have been ten times."

After several years starting the season with the mythical "it will be the same shit as always", this year La Resistencia promises to give its audience "a historic season." Ricardo Castella, co-director of the program along with David Broncano and Jorge Ponce, states: "We are risking the renewal with Movistar Plus, we have no choice but to have the best season in the history of the program. Again? Again."
