Alaska speaks out after her dismissal from 'Cine de Barrio' on TVE: "It makes me very sad"

Alaska is in a bittersweet moment in her professional career in the television world. The interpreter of iconic songs such as Who cares or Neither you nor anyone will stop being the presenter of the program Cine de Barrio, on TVE. It will be Inés Ballester who will take over as presenter from now on. However, it seems that the departure from Alaska has not been voluntary, despite the fact that a new stage for the artist in Telecinco has been announced as a collaborator of Ana Rosa Quintana's new format, TardeAR. The interpreter has spoken about this through her social networks.

Alaska feels very hurt at having had to abandon a format that it has led for three years. She herself has explained what has separated her from a space that has been key in her professional career. "I feel obliged to clarify the information. At no time have I 'abandoned', 'left', 'left' or 'changed' Cine de Barrio for other projects," she begins by recounting. "Being a punctual collaborator on TardeAR on one network or on Mask Singer on another does not interfere with my work as a presenter, that is what I have done in these three years. And always," expressing that one thing and the others are not incompatible.

The interpreter of How Could You Do This to Me has confessed that she feels "very grateful to have been able to go on her own, combining programs and networks." "I would never have voluntarily stopped presenting Cine de Barrio, those who know me know that for me that program is a vocation beyond the professional. It saddens me very much not to continue being part of that project. But I understand that the decisions are made in the networks that are considered appropriate at all times," she continues, suggesting that she was actually fired from the program she hosted.

Despite this bad experience, the presenter could not avoid some words of affection to the next host of the space she is leaving behind. "I am happy to know that Cine de Barrio is not disappearing, but rather a new stage is beginning, one more. I will continue to wait for Saturdays to enjoy my favorite directors, actors and actresses, as I have been doing since 1995. Inés Ballester has already been part of this proposal, so it is a guarantee," says Mario Vaquerizo's wife.

Alaska will now focus on her new projects, one of them, her collaboration with Ana Rosa Quintana's new program. After almost 20 years taking over Telecinco's mornings, the veteran communicator returns on September 18 to the network's afternoons with a program that also includes her name, TardeAR.

As the journalist explained during the 15th edition of the Vitoria FesTVal, the program will be broadcast from 5 to 8 p.m. and will be an "infoshow", that is, a daily current affairs format, which will combine information and entertainment. Ana Rosa revealed that she expected to have a "very good time." "I want to have fun, I think I've earned it," she said. A fun that will surely not be missing from the hand of some collaborators such as Alaska herself or the influencers Marina Rivers and Madame de Rosa, among others.
