Adriana Lima is a Victoria's Secret angel again

"An icon returns". With these words Victoria's Secret announced the return of one of its most emblematic angels, Adriana Lima. The Brazilian model has decided to return to what was her home for almost twenty years to star in the latest campaign for one of the lingerie firm's fragrances.

"I am very excited to work with Victoria's Secret again, the brand has always been like a family to me," says the top in networks, where she is very excited that the company has thought of her to be the image of Heavenly perfume.

"Being the face of this iconic campaign and fragrance is so special because it beautifully complements a woman's radiance, which is a symbol of Victoria's Secret's inspiring mission to celebrate every woman. It was amazing to be on set again with everyone, and we had a great time bringing this message to life through this timeless fragrance."

For her part, the vice president of creativity at Victoria's Secret Beauty, Tracy Deleu, has expressed her satisfaction at once again having one of the firm's most iconic angels. "Adriana is not only a much-loved part of the Victoria's Secret family, but she also encapsulates the essence that makes this fragrance a favourite. As always, Adriana's captivating energy on the set of this campaign carried the glamorous, luminous feel of this fragrance to the next level, and we can't wait to share it with everyone," he says.

The signature eau de parfum contains a hint of fruit and white flowers, with freesia, lotus and jasmine. It also has notes of old musk, creamy sandalwood and bourbon vanilla to make it an ideal floral perfume to wear in spring.

Adriana Lima has returned to Victoria's Secret five years after her emotional farewell. The Brazilian decided to hang her wings at the 2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show held in New York, after 19 years working for the well-known lingerie firm. Lima's decision came just a year after the withdrawal of another of the iconic angels, Alessandra Ambrosio.

The return of the Brazilian top to the ranks of the brand has filled its fans with joy. Many have already assured in networks that this return could be related to Victoria's Secret's recent announcement to recover her show, in fact, many believe that Adriana will once again spread her wings in the long-awaited parade.

Known as the Super Bowl of fashion, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was stopped in 2019 due to the serious crisis facing the firm, which was widely criticized for the lack of diversity and inclusion of its models. With the appearance of Savage x Fenty, Rihanna's brand, Victoria's Secret had to step up and start changing the beauty canon of its well-known angels.

Four years later, and after carrying out a profound transformation with the signing of models and ambassadors of all sizes, the brand believes that it is time to redo its show. "We will continue to rely on spending on marketing tools to invest in the business, such as the new version of our fashion show," they pointed out a few weeks ago.
