In a new display of creativity, Swatch begins another chapter that aims to narrate the history of art, from Botticelli to Lichtenstein, with five capsule collections. They are collector's watches, the Swatch Art Journey, which incorporate unprecedented details and which, taking their Genty New Gent models, recreate ten masterpieces. With a touch of humor, the Swatch Art Journey collection pays tribute to artists who weren't afraid to innovate, like Roy Lichtenstein and his Reverie cover.
The Italian manufacturing brand Cassina, has opted for 'arty' designs in full color with the Zig Zag chair by Gerrit T.Rietvelds. Sheet metal panels are superimposed on the famous inverted Z-shaped structure in a nod to the architecture of One Block Down. A revision in red, yellow and blue, the colors linked to the De Stijl movement.
