A contestant from 'El Conquistador' attacks Irene Junquera: “Carbonero, what is he like?”

Yesterday the semi-final of El Conquistador was broadcast on Spanish Television La 1, a format presented on the public channel by Raquel Sánchez Silva and Julian Iantzi that has been triumphing for years on the Basque regional channel.

After being attacked by mosquitoes, suffering injuries, going hungry, thirsty, not being able to sleep and overcoming endless tests, 7 of the 33 participants who started the adventure have become finalists:  Joana Flaviano, Matías, Chase (Lucas), Euxebi , Azo, Agus and Miguel.

Despite the group's joy at making it to the final, the last program was full of drama due to the elimination of Puma and Montoya. The two contestants were the last in the 'infernal labyrinth' test and were left out of the competition.

Furthermore, both were part of the team led by Cesc Escolà, the Yocahu. Although they remained strong throughout the contest, the previous week they changed their strategy and decided to go for participants of the same color, which resulted in the triple expulsion of three of the strongest: Gorka, David Seco and Daniel. This caused a stir on social networks, since, for many followers of the format, it was a betrayal.

Like every week, the two eliminated attended the post-chapter debate. On this occasion, the atmosphere was very tense, since the majority of collaborators reproached them for having gone through the contest 'on tiptoe' and for having tried to make a strategy at the end, something with which the former candidates did not agree.

Furthermore, the three eliminated from the previous week were waiting for them on set ready and prepared to blame them for their attitude and their 'lack' of sportsmanship. While Puma remained firm, but empathetic with his teammates and the situation, the Andalusian was nervous and proud of everything he had done. Montoya's attitude, which has been harshly criticized online in recent hours, led him to star in one of the most tense moments of the night.

At one point in the conversation, Montoya expressed that he was very happy with his time on the program and that he did not care about the opinion of those present. Although he gave Jaime Nava as an example and named him by his name, when he referred to Junquera he made some very controversial statements: ''And Sara, Carbonero? How is she? ''. Although Sánchez Silva quickly clarified the name of the collaborator, she felt humiliated.

''Montoya, I ask you for a little respect because although you live in your world, I have been here working on all the programs that you have been on (in the contest). I understand that you also see the debate, or don't you? I have been working for a few years, I am a sports journalist,'' the communicator stated. Shortly after, the former contestant reproached her for having "turned him on" and accused her of being in love with one of the contestants. Although it could not be seen well on screen, everything indicates that Montoya thinks that Junquera has some kind of special interest in Gorka.
