7NN closes, the channel of which Toni Cantó has been the great star: "The excessive expenses have made it unfeasible"

7NN closes down after having broadcast for only a year and a half. The television channel, with ultra-rightist ideology, will stop broadcasting in the coming days by decision of its Board of Directors, which considers that "the excessive expenses generated have made the continuity of the project unfeasible."

This is the channel in which Toni Cantó has presented a program in recent months, being its great star ever since. The Valencian actor, who has also tried his luck in politics on several occasions, was in charge of conducting a humor space on Saturday night under the name Con Toni.

The 7NN channel began broadcasting in October 2021, promoted by some journalists from El Toro TV such as Marcial Cuquerella or Fernando Paz. Its first broadcast was the Hispanic Day parade, on October 12 of that year, and it has tried to expand its coverage throughout Spain since then.

Through the statement issued by the Board of Directors of the chain, it has been known that it will "proceed to an orderly closure of it." The reason, once again, is "the complicated economic situation, dragged on for a long time" due to its expansionist intentions, among other reasons.

Hispania Audiovisual Productions, the company behind the 7NN broadcasts, breaks down the causes that have led to its closure. "The initial management team was more focused on trying to develop a good television product on the visual level than on building a sustainable business model," reads the statement, thus justifying "the level of monthly expenses of the chain" skyrocketed.

Aware of the economic problems that the canal was going through, the businessman Marcos de Quinto joined at the end of 2022 as one of its shareholders. However, "certified the non-feasibility of the project, there was only one tough but professional decision: to proceed with the orderly closure of the project," concludes the document, which appreciates "the work and effort of all those professionals who honestly made an effort" to move forward an initiative that they consider "failed".
