Urban electric mobility is booming and e-scooters have become the favorite two-wheeled vehicle among those looking for an agile and efficient means of transportation for their short daily journeys. Despite the fact that Asian brands dominate the sector, there is a proliferation of start-ups based in Europe that aim to find their market niche with attractive proposals.

One of them is Brumaire, a very young French brand of electric motorcycles that, in just two years of experience, has the potential to become a benchmark in the industry. As an example, we find its recent creation, the Brumaire 4700W, which wants to establish a new era in the electric scooter market with a charming retro design and extensive technological equipment.

The new e-scooter is conceived as a reliable and efficient mobility alternative. It integrates a powerful 4.7 kW Bosch motor that provides a power of 6.4 CV, the equivalent of the 125 cc category of conventional combustion motorcycles.

Since the Brumaire 4700W is designed to be used primarily in urban environments, the speed is limited to 80 km/h. One of its most outstanding features is the practical reversing function, which is very useful when parking and maneuvering in confined spaces.

It has two removable 72 V and 20 Ah lithium battery packs that give it a range of 90 kilometers on a single charge. This is more than enough figure for most motorcyclists who plan to use it on their short trips around the city.

According to the manufacturer, it takes about five hours for a full recharge through a standard household socket and the useful life of the batteries would range between 600 and 800 charge cycles. Combined, the batteries add a weight of ten kilos to the vehicle.

It's built with standard components found on most electric scooters today, including non-adjustable shocks, LED lights, and a regenerative braking system.

Both wheels are 12-inch and it should be noted that the electric motorcycle offers three driving modes to suit every need: an Eco mode to save battery life, a Comfort mode for smooth rides, and a Sport mode for more dynamic driving.

Other notable aspects are its LCD screen with the basic indicators of the vehicle, the lockable handlebar and a USB port to charge small devices while driving. The brand also offers a series of accessories to customize the e-scooter, such as a GPS tracker, luggage rack or helmets. It is available in five different colors and two types of seats.

You can now order the Brumaire 4700W through the brand's website with a price starting at 4,790 euros. If you are interested in knowing more details about the motorcycle, you can consult the video that accompanies this article.
