On May 18, the Indra Board approved the appointment of José Vicente de los Mozos, one of the Spaniards with the longest international experience in the industrial sector, as CEO of Indra. Indra's succession plan, communicated in March to the CNMV, was thus closed.

Last Wednesday, also at market close, Indra's Board approved the agenda for the company's Ordinary Meeting, which includes the appointment of two new independent directors -Elena García Armada and María Ángeles Santamaría Martín- and Pablo Jiménez de Parga as proprietary director for Amber Capital. With the appointment of two new female directors, the Company advances in its commitment to gender diversity with a 37.5% female presence, as the company highlighted in its press release.

Both decisions of the Council, led by the president, Marc Murtra, have been positively received by the stock market analysts consulted by Servimedia. Specifically, they highlight the experience of José Vicente de los Mozos "in leadership management positions in the industrial sector, as well as his international career", and point out that "this is important when it comes to focusing on efficiency and evolution from the margins of Indra. As for the new additions to the Board, analysts point out that the vacancy of 73-year-old German Axel Arendt, who resigned after approving the succession plan and the shortlist of candidates for CEO, has been “quickly” replaced.

Regarding the share price, Indra has fallen by 2.7% since May 18, amid large drops in sectors dependent on public procurement caused by the phenomenon known as "government shutdown" or closure of the Administration. from United States. It is not the first time it has happened and its effects are usually temporary. Other companies in the Defense sector comparable to Indra have fallen much more than the Spanish technology company: Hemsoldt (-8.5%), Reinmetall (-6%), Leonardo (-6.3%), Thales (-4.2%) and BAE Systems (-4.2%).
