The Remences-Energy Tools closes registrations with more than 1,800 cyclists signed up

Remences-Energy Tools is already here. After a year of waiting, tomorrow 1,860 cyclists will meet in Vall d'en Bas to once again fill Garrotxa, Ripollès and Osona with people wearing jerseys, helmets and eager to have a good time.

This edition will stand out especially for the high percentage of female participation that has signed up for the test. More than 30% of the participating cyclists will be women, the historical record for a cyclist with 26 years of history.

Unfortunately this 2023 also marks a before and after in the consolidated march as it will be the first edition to be held without Toni Fité, the soul of the event and its main organizer since its foundation. Before departure, a tribute will be made to remember his person and everything he did for La Remences.

After Fité passed away two days after last year's edition, there were many doubts about whether to continue. Dani Bosch, president of the Bas Cycling Club, told us that "they were lucky that many young people joined the initiative to carry out the event" and despite the fact that without Fité it will be different, they are proud to have kept La Remences alive.

The 26th edition is being faced with great enthusiasm and its main features of identity have not changed. The great collaboration of volunteers, which on this occasion will be 600, will allow all the intersections of the route to be controlled. A safety bonus that very few gears can offer.

Its supportive face has not left either and after having contributed 160,000 euros in the 25 years of testing to different social associations, this 26th edition will not be different. Oncolliga, Fundació Albert Bosch, Carites Garrotxa and Fundació Impulsa are the associations chosen this year to demonstrate that cycling can be a great way of solidarity.
