The fun electric skates to navigate the city effortlessly

Although there are many people who love to walk at a leisurely pace through the city, others consider that this is too slow and boring an activity. Today, there is a wide variety of electric possibilities for individual transport to move around urban territory, with special prominence for bicycles and scooters.

However, there are options beyond these two proposals, such as electric skates. They are still rare on city streets, but they seek to gain a foothold among users who wish to add a more fun touch to their daily trips. Within this sector are the RollWalk eRW3, which can be more than interesting for those looking for a little more adrenaline on their journeys.

These are all-electric skates that attach to any everyday shoe via a pair of straps with quick-release magnetic buckles. This fact may seem like a trifle, but it is an important aspect, since you do not have to worry about carrying specific footwear, which allows you to easily store the skates in a small backpack when they are not being used.

They have a one-piece 6061 aluminum structure. It should be noted that this type of alloy is used for aerospace use and offers both higher density and better tensile properties. Added to this is the fact that this mobility solution is IPX4 rated, which means a high level of resistance and waterproofing.

The weight of the skids is 2 kg and they can support a maximum payload of 100 kg. Each of them integrates an electric motor powered by a 3.5 Ah Samsung lithium-ion battery that allows a range of approximately 18 km per recharge. To complete this recharging process it takes only one hour.

It must be taken into account that the skates are controlled through a simple wireless control that avoids the presence of cables that could complicate mobility and that they do integrate other similar alternatives found on the market. Users can choose between four different driving modes according to their preferences.

The first mode is for beginners, it is the most efficient and is called Eco-Low, while the fourth, called Turbo-Pro, offers the highest performance and is more intended for experienced users. When highlighting the advantages of these skates, the brand emphasizes their portability, their running stability and their intuitive use, factors that facilitate their use by people of different ages.

The engines are powerful enough to tackle slopes of up to 20 degrees. For its part, the 70mm silicone rubber-coated wheels provide a smooth ride on all terrains. The price of the RollWalk eRW3 is around 550 euros. If you are interested in seeing them in full action, you just have to take a look at the video that accompanies this article.
