The fun electric moped with 150 km of autonomy

Electrification seems to be experiencing a 'boom' in sectors such as mopeds or motorcycles, with increasingly attractive, versatile and powerful proposals, without necessarily having to pay an exorbitant price for them. The Engwe M20 is precisely one of the most recent novelties on the market that encompasses all the aforementioned aspects, which makes it an interesting alternative for many users.

It is a youthful and carefree electric moped that wants to imitate the attractive retro aesthetic of the motorcycles of the sixties, but incorporating the latest technology, at a very reasonable price. The first thing that catches the attention of the M20 is its characteristic design, with thick tires capable of rolling both on asphalt and on dirt and gravel tracks.

It is also worth noting its curious and soft slightly inclined seat and a careful structure with an undeniable 'made in USA' touch. With its double front and rear suspension, comfort and smooth driving are guaranteed to cover long distances.

Its 750 W of power, with a maximum peak of 1,000 W and 55 Nm of maximum torque, give the feeling that you are riding a larger motorcycle. It reaches a maximum speed of 45 km/h and has a range that can reach up to 150 km. And it is that, although the cheapest variant comes with a battery that offers 75 km, it is possible to opt for a superior version that incorporates an additional identical battery to double the total range.

According to the manufacturer, the M20 can boast of having 200% more autonomy than most of its competitors. With the mentioned benefits, the moped can overcome slopes of 10 degrees without suffering the slightest, so it is a good choice for those who live in cities with steep slopes. Or, even, for those who like to go out on the weekend to ride on mountain roads.

Other outstanding features of this new electric vehicle are its double headlights that guarantee better visibility and illumination, a seven-speed transmission, optional mudguards and pedals. At the moment, it is available in three different colors. These are the matte black, metallic green and white tones.

The price of the new model of the Engwe brand is another of its strong points. From a tight 1,200 euros you can have the basic version. The double battery version of the M20 costs 1,500 euros. The first deliveries of the orders are scheduled for next summer.

If you are interested in seeing this new electric mobility proposal in full action, you just have to take a look at the video that accompanies this article, which also specifies some additional technical details of the vehicle.
