The adventurous offroad electric motorcycle with guaranteed fun

Offroad motorcycles are joining the electrification trend, resulting in groundbreaking products that contrast with their adventurous aesthetics and the discretion of their performance. And the progressive arrival of electric variants allows you to ride in silence on rural tracks.

The new Grunt Evo, from the Volcon brand, comes to become a benchmark in the growing market for electric offroad motorcycles. It is the improved version of the popular Grunt from the same brand, but with important new features, as it is a narrower, lighter and even quieter motorcycle than its predecessor.

Redesign improvements that contribute to an extremely stealthy motorcycle include the use of an advanced Gates Carbon Drive belt drive system. Added to this are a slimmer frame, an improved swingarm, a Walker Evans Racing rear shock, a more ergonomic seat and optimized footpegs.

Ideal for leisure outings in nature on any surface (snow, water, mud or dirt), it is also designed for other possible uses such as caring for land with livestock without disturbing the animals. To do this, the Grunt Evo incorporates an 11 HP (8 kW) rear-wheel drive electric motor, powered by a 2.3 kWh battery.

With a weight of 130 kg including the battery, the maximum speed it can reach is 64 km/h, more than enough to travel through rural terrain whose maximum speed allowed is 30 km/h in our country. It has several driving modes for greater efficiency and regenerative brakes.

It must be taken into account that it can reach a range of up to 113 kilometers if a second additional battery is added. Depending on the brand, it takes two to four hours to fully charge these batteries from a domestic outlet and enjoy a good time of driving again. Each battery has a durability of 1,000 charge cycles with less than 20% loss of its maximum capacity.

Designed for off-road use, the motorcycle features a 43mm inverted fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The fork can be ordered gold anodized, but this is not the only customization option available.

The bike is available from the factory in three colors: Desert Dune, Del Rio Red and Bandit Black. Among the customization options in the catalog there is the possibility of adding a luggage rack, a tow hitch, bags, etc.

Orders for the Volcon Grunt Evo can now be placed at a starting price of 5,650 euros. According to the company, the first units produced will be delivered to customers in the coming weeks.
